Aupeo, the audio content solutions provider for the connected car (a subsidiary of Panasonic) has announced yesterday David Taylor as Chief Executive Officer, following the voluntary departure of Holger G. Weiss.

Taylor joined Aupeo in April 2013 as Chief Technology Officer, leading the transformation of the company’s consumer music service into the B2B OneConnect platform, which enables vehicle manufacturers to reinvent in-vehicle systems with new infotainment experiences.

Weiss - who was initially an investor and a board member in Aupeo before becoming its CEO - is pursuing personal projects. “I have decided to focus on new ventures and startups - especially those within the automotive area,” he said.

The new management also includes Armin Fendrich that rejoins Aupeo as Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Director. Fendrich has a strong track record of growing revenue in automotive and service companies including Nokia, deCarta and most recently NNG.

He also has formerly held the position of Vice President of Sales at Aupeo. Fendrich, based in Berlin, Germany, will lead the development of global partnerships with automotive OEMs.

Fendrich will be a speaking about connected services business models at the ConnecteDriver conference organized by GPS Business News in Brussels on January 27-28, 2016. Read about it here:
